Okay people this oughta cause some debate.... what makes a Video Game good? I mean do graphics really matter that much? Is a story important? Does the gameplay have to be so complicated or simple?
Personally I think that graphics don't matter.... at all. I mean Ocarina of Time for the N64 didn't have great graphics buts it's one if the best games of all time. If they remade it with better graphics I don't think I'd like it as much. It'd lack the feel of Ocarina. Story's inportant in long games like Zelda because in Twilight Princess I was just riding through the field heading toward the Hyrule Castle when I thought ( Why am I doing this? All the Towns are fine and nobodie's really threatened! I mean Ganondorf's just sitting on his freaking throne staring into space! He's not doing anything. In Ocarina you felt like you had a mission to do because of the sad state of Hyrule. Here it's like screw this! I'm going fishing for 35 hours!(Sephiroth).)
And finally gameplay....... ya know what? This post is too long..okay now what are your guys opinions?

i desagree the graphics are important but what really matter is the story linje and extras you know like multiplayer characters clothes

Extra's are nice...
But about graphics.... take Super Mario Bros for example. Horrible graphics. Great Game.

Okay I agree with Xemnas's point, yes, graphics do matter sorta. Like if they made a game right now with OOT's graphics, it wouldn't seem right. But gameplay and story are what make a game (SMB3, OOT, etc.)
OOC: about Tdius' twilight princess fishying comment.....shut up, I was bored and wanted to catch the hylian loach XD It wasnt like Ganon was going to do anything except sit on his chair waiting to lose lol

Fuck graphics. If grpahics made the game, a lot of crappy games would be five stars.
I couldn't care less about the graphics.
The gameplay, story, and how well the controls are.

This is a good topic to write my debate paper for language for...hmm...
Anyway, Graphics are nice, but if they made ocarina of time with graphics like Twilight Princess, it would be worse, because they would focus on the graphics instead of the old feel.
And most game companies focus on nothing but the graphics anymore, and make crappy games because tehy only focused on the graphics, but they still get good ratings, which I think is gay.

Im not saying graphics are bad, they make everything nice and pretty XD But a good story and gameplay has to go with it or it sucks, I dont crae if its virtual reality....nvm about that if virtual relaity was it I would play it even if it sucked XD

true,although alot of games have a good story line what they should ofcus on is whats going to happen after you beat the game,will you restart or go around the area for fun

yeah, once you beat the game, (for example KH2) you should be able to explore and not start from your last save point before you beat it...that's gay.

Link I mean like thse fake things on TV where you put on a helmet and wires on your body and stand on a treadmill so you can run easily. And in vide game society we are getting close to reaching that....example the wii
