Sephiroth shook his head in disappointment and continued to walk forward and a door opened up in front of them. A vast open area with a pedestal on the far side about 1/2 forward was barely visible.

As the others were going to fight the monster, the cloaked man ran past them into the next corridor. What they would find later would be an impaled body from spikes in the wall.
